Thursday Nite Grads

Went on a ride with Munkirs and Martin last night.  As usual, (well, “usual” for Munkirs & I anyways) we selected the KCBC ride that leaves out of Brookside.  It’s a good ride, although I may be starting to tire of the route a bit.  Better than sitting at the Brooksider watching TV I guess.  “Better” in the health sense anyway;  I’m not sure it’s any more entertaining.  This week we decided to kick things up a notch and ride with the self-labeled “Fast Group” for the first time.  Actually I’d say ride with them was a stretch;  We did manage to sort of doggedly hang on to the back of the group though.  Certainly a more briskly-paced ride than we are used to.  I decided I liked it better though, at least as an experiment.  After getting our 17 miles in, we drug our tattered carcasses over to the Brooksider and replenished with some cheeseburgers.  We all survived in relatively good condition;  It remains to be seen which group we pick next Thursday.

  1. That bike website has a good link to http://www.bikely.com where you can map your own route (you probably already knew this). The route that I normally take mapped out to within .2 miles of my pedometer. I will be sure to have some water waiting for you guys when you go by my house next Thurs.

  2. Actually I just found that bikely.com site, I like it a lot.  I can’t figure out the turn-by-turn directions on mapmyride or other sites like that.  That’d be great if you could come out and hand us water.  I expect we will be with the slow group this week, so around 7:15 or so.  If you could wave an American flag while running behind us down the street that would be even better.
